Why does moving have to suck?

Finally, Sarah and I are moved to our new place. Thank goodness it is only 5 minutes from our old apartment, as even moving stuff to the lobby of the old place, starting before the movers got there, 2 movers and 2 friends lending a hand (thank you so much Karl & Danny) and a 5 minute drive to the new place, it still took ~ 2 1/2 hours just to move the apartment. That's not including the 2 car trips made after the movers left to get odds and sodds that the movers wouldnt take (some electronics that werent packed, etc). So all in all Sarah and I started about 8 am, and then didnt finish moving until 3 pm. Subtract an hour from that for lunch. And of course, then we started unpacking it all.

Tonight we finally have enough stuff unpacked and put away that you could believe that we are going to live here for a while. Which is good, because I really dont want to move all that stuff again for a couple of years if possible. Either that or I think we should just sell everything and then buy new stuff for the new place. Sounds like a good idea, except for the money part. Anyhow, we are finally moved and beginning to put 'our' (really I think more 'Sarah's', I do have my own corner, unless we have company staying over) apartment in order so we can really begin our life together. Or at least that is the theory. I'm pretty sure we will get it all worked out eventually. The only thing that kinda sucks is that we found out today we never had an actual appointment with the satellite installers, so I pulled out my old tv antenna, and we now have 2 english channels (cbc, ctv) and one french channel (cbc en francais). But that will be fixed in a couple of days. I'm definitely not looking forward to making up the time from work that I am currently missing, but it will eventually get done.

Oh yeah, obviously we have internet, and I'm happier than a pig in sh*t. But I think this post took up what little energy I had left. Goodnight.
